Recovery of the protective function
Due to storms, forest fires, avalanches or intensive harmful organisms, large-scale deforestation and tree losses are occurring more and more frequently. When such disturbances occur in protective forests, the protective function is greatly reduced or lost entirely. Rapid reforestation is particularly important here to prevent erosion, rockfall or other gravitational mass movements.
